PROGRAMS

LearningQUEST offers programs for adults of all ages. Topics are varied and fall in a wide range of subject areas. Programs are generally held in the Main Library meeting facilities, with some off-site locations used when needed. There are two terms each year: Spring (January – June) and Fall (July — December). Each term begins with a Rally Day which is open to the public. The program catalog will be available and members will have an opportunity to explore courses and trips being offered, as well as to register for their choice of programs.

The beautiful term catalog provides detailed information about us and this term’s programs and instructors. Click the ‘Catalog‘ button, or image, to view the Catalog and download it to your local computer if you wish.

Click the ‘Programs‘ button, or image, to display a table showing all the programs available for this term – along with the current status of each program. The Program names in the table are also links to pages that provide  detailed information about each program.

Term Programs: Most term programs require payment of a $40 term fee.  Payment of the term fee allows a member to register for as many programs as desired during that term. Programs typically have a maximum number of attendees. If the number of registrants exceeds that maximum, the program is ‘waitlisted’. If members withdraw from a waitlisted program, waitlisted members  will  be switched to ‘enrolled’ in the order of their registration. Note that some programs may require an additional materials cost.

Trips planned for LearningQUEST members require reservations and may have an additional cost.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) allow members to pursue common interests. No term fee is required to participate. These SIGs are available to LearningQUEST members, and the meetings are included in the Calendar.

Public Programs are open to the community at large. Normally these are single lectures on topics of interest to our members and the general public.

In addition, Special Events occur throughout the year and are announced in the weekly E-News.

Request for Program Ideas

LearningQUEST depends heavily on the ideas and support of its members. To provide the greatest possible variety of quality programs, members are encouraged to offer ideas for possible new programs and program activities.

If you have ideas for a program or activity that you think might be of interest to other members, please submit them via the Program Suggestion Form

Request for Program Proposals
The Program Development Committee (PDC) actively solicits proposals for future terms. For most programs, please download  and submit the General Proposal Form.

The opinions and views expressed by presenters of LearningQUEST courses are solely those of the presenters and do not necessarily represent the views of the LearningQUEST organization or its Board. See LearningQUEST’s policy regarding constraints on sales and solicitations at LearningQUEST programs.

Trip Proposals

Trips provide a unique opportunity to expand learning, and they enhance the social  environment of LearningQUEST. To submit ideas for trips and excursions, please download and complete the Trip Proposal Form using the  Trip Proposal Instructions . Please note the Trip Policy when proposing a trip or excursion.
